Selimedu (State of Puducherry)
A dispensary was created in 2003 in this village located 15 km southwest of Puducherry, with the financial support of the European Union as part of a 5-year partnership. The site consists of two buildings, now used by Satya School, a socio-educational structure welcoming children with special needs daily. About fifty children are supervised by specialised educators. The Mahatma Gandhi Medical College offers a weekly medical consultation, ensuring solidarity with the rural population while training its interns.
